General Medicine (на английском языке)

After completing the six-year medical course students will have an opportunity to enroll on a residency program with 60 courses to choose from or apply for a job in a primary care facility.

The course will consist of a mix of lectures, seminars and workshops, including practical classes in a hospital. The disciplines taught include therapy, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, neurology, oncology, psychiatry, etc. Within the course of the program the students will learn how to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases.

The course is based on internationally-recognized standards and taught by professionals in the sphere. Graduates of the program work in various medical institutions in Russia and beyond.

All internships are held at the main clinical hospitals and health care institutions of the Kaliningrad region, as well as at University clinics of the University of Lübeck (Germany) and Klaipeda University (Lithuania). The training is carried out in different formats like solving tasks in diagnosis, treatment, medical rehabilitation and prevention, as well as participation in professional competitions which allow the students to build a path for your professional development and find useful contacts for career growth.

A graduate will have to skills to work as a doctor, head of a department, a teacher, can become a scientist or open a private office (his own business). For further career growth in institutions, as a rule, it is required to continue education in the field of medicine — residency. There are not enough doctors today, so young specialists can easily find a job in their specialty.
